Day 8812

Days 8447-8811: 365 days in summary, key points of the year...

The year sort of started off badly with the rejection by SIA. Being selected from the hundreds of applicants but got chopped off because of the medical. And with that, the dream of being in the flight deck of the 744 sort of vaporise...
Nevertheless, managed to get a job with good prospects and started working in July after my reservist. However, the passion for the sky remains and I have re-submit my application form 4 days back.

Ministry-wise, a rather busy year so much so that I was nearly burnt out. But was rather fulfilling too as I got my grading for APC 2 and PPCDL. But with that, more responsibilites and areas to help out. Sometimes, really feel like taking a short 2-3 months break for a breather...

Got 2 licenses this year; Class 3 and PPCDL (will be 3 if I got in SIA). A friend even joked that I am really like an 'amat' after learning that I can drive tanks too. (",)
Speaking of her, I really need to express my gratitude to her for all the prayers and being there when I need someone to talk to or even just to play games online. 谢谢!

Broken parts~
My PC's motherboard finally received the G219 and rested in peace in its box. With it demise, Ms. Elsa's fan decided not to turn anymore, making me spend $$$ to pamper her with a new heatsink and fan. Next up is the pet mouse who got scratch by the cat and died, followed by Mr. Hitachi, who decided to cough himself to death by having bad sectors again and again. The ultimate came when my $400++ Thrustmaster Cougar joystick snapped while I was using it mid-way (its made of metal yet it broke!!!), resulting in several emails requesting for urgent spares so that I can take off for the skies in FS2004 again.
Oh ya! My second cooling fan decided to take a break for the festive season too... And my 8810i is hospitalised...

The next lap
Finally, I will be moving back to my old residence next 2nd quarter and I have decided to embark on an overseas community service trip (West Timor) after thinking about such trips for some time. However, this also means that I have to postpone my other planned courses/ trips for the year' 06 as I will be drain out financially.
They are (in order of priority):
  • First Aid (I need to get back my grading!!!)
  • Tibet and EBC
  • National Geographic Open Water
  • Sky-diving

Oh ya~! I need to get a hair-cut ASAP too. (",)
Happy New Year~
