Woo... Started off 2010 by flying along to France for a business trip, making it my 4th time taking the A380... It was awesome! Not the flight but the week spend in the snow in Lyon and Paris, especially the Paris sale!!!
If I could describe 2010, it would be "bungee jump"...
The first half of the year was terrific, just like going to the platform of a bungee jump, in anticipation for the ride of your life. But when you jump down, the tension of the bungee cords tied to your ankles pull you up just as gravity pull you towards the ground. This 'yo yo movement' should be how the second half of 2010 would be described... Well, at the end of the day, you won't remember much of the jump itself, but more of the process prior to jumping...
I finally started my saxophone lesson after putting it off for umpteen years and is now progressing at a snail's pace.
Again, no mountain climbing in the year, though I did travel to Haikou and Sanya in August for erm... 4 days. Very short trip but enjoyed myself tremendously. And it was my first time taking a budget airliner.
In addition, I gave my HTC Touch HD a G219 in October and officially turned to the Dark Side by getting an iPhone 4 FOC from Singtel. Should have insisted on a BB though....
My intention was to end off 2010 by taking a 2.5 weeks break in China; taking a 4 days train from Beijing to Lhasa and spending Christmas and a week in Tibet and EBC before returning to Beijing in the same manner, and finally moving north to Harbin for New Year. Everything was in place, except for a nod from the employers... Darn...
The consolation? Another free trip to France in January 2011...
Again, planned courses/ trips for the year:
- Bangkok, Thailand (A promise made)
- Cairo, Egypt (Another promise made)
- Mount Rinjani
- Rescue Diver
